On news LLC tonight...

Time:8.46pm

Good evening I'm Kan Tsz Hin reporting the news to you tonight.

The first two periods of school has been switched with the last two periods. That would mean that Assembly comes first, and Maths the last! In Assembly, we had boxercise. We were taught that and we had both fun and no fun lol. The music is seriously loud, kinda hurt my ears when I first heard it.

Nothing much in school, but it was pretty negative. But before I come to that, something that might interest you: The Australian Maths Competition!

Yep. The students had to report to classroom 36 by 2.30pm and finish the competition by 4pm. No no, not like what I thought it was. I thought it was going to some hall like in "The Arena" where a judge stood there and asked questions and then we'd write our answers on a paper and show it up in the air. BUT NO! It was in fact a test. You were to sit down on a table, having only a pencil, eraser and optionally, a ruler. You were given an Optical Answer Sheet like in the exams, and a booklet which contained the questions. Working to be done on the question booklet, no calculators allowed. At first, everyone was pretty nervous. However, when they flipped the book to the first few pages, it was so easy and simple! We thought the maths competition was just a piece of cake! We were WRONG!!! Later, as we progressed through the papers, we realized it was no chicken feet. It became harder and harder towards the end of the paper, to the extent that it was nearly impossible to solve them! Some questions tricked us too. For example: (I can't remember 100% of the question but it was something like this)

Amongst these guys, A B C D and E, there were either liars or people who tell the truth.
A says B is a liar.
B says C is a liar.
C says D is a liar.
D says E is a liar.

What is the highest possible number liars are there?

I have no idea what the answer is yet so don't ask me XD

On News 2E2 tonight...

Some teachers are away for quite a long time, such as Mr Chua. At the same time, there are new teachers from the NIE. Really alot! Most of them are Biology teachers.

It is official on who is our Geography Teacher is! It turned out to be last year's Mr Lee! Not a good start since there was alot of talking in class and not alot of teaching. He claimed to have not taught the Sec 2 level for 4 years. LIES!!! He taught lessons last year to last year's 2E2! (they are now Sec 3)

Our CME teacher, fortunately, is not Mr Lee. It is Ms Ang, classroom 14. She is also the Home Economics teacher, but for register number 1 to 20. For the other register numbers, it is a separate teacher.

Unforgettable memories

All of the Sec 2 students reported for the Camp on 6th June, 7.30am in the hall. We had a presentation from some instructors about leadership. We had a little game of a zoo keeper catching the monkey leader who will do an action and the others follow, before we were separated into our separate 9 groups regardless of classes. We had lunch and left for Jalan Bahtera in a nearly-an-hour bus trip.

Activites:

• High Elements - It seems scary at first, but when you do it, its extremely fun!
  
• Water Kayaking - Paddling the Kayak with one group memeber out to sea!
  
• Nature Rumble - We were taught the hornet drill and we were going into the muddy path and did hornet drills on hte mud! Some groups managed to reach the end at the muddy pool of water.
• Morning Excercise - Warm-ups, Morning Run, "Kick" (45 degrees legs in air and then move legs up and down), Buddha Claps! Woot we did 600 Buddha Claps! :D Now the Sec 2s next year will be in trouble :p
• Kidnapping - We had do many activities just to save our group member who was kidnapped! And from there, we guessed numbers, find 2 keys and say the cheer!
• Campfire - The most memorable moment! We performed our campfire performances and took part in the other campfire activities :D We have different yet simillar memories, but we share one thing: Everyone realized how much their instructors have been doing for us and most importantly, the importance of teamwork.
  

(Note: Different groups have some slightly different experiences.)

For me, personally, I have only realized my mistakes and began to regret them. The camp has taught us so much, and then within 3 days 2 nights, we had to go. We wished we could stay for longer, but time never waits and we have to move on. I admit I cried as everyone left for home and even at home I will cry when I recall these unforgettable moments and memories. :'(

I wish everyone had a great time and will never forget the invaluable lessons that our instructors have been trying to tell us since Day 1 and remind ourselves of them. May the grand fire of the Campfire Night burn within our hearts forever.

Yesterday!

Mark, Chi Sun, Nicholas and I went to subway at 12.30pm for lunch. Chi Sun and Mark went to Mark's house first, while Nicholas and I waited for Ying Zhen before we proceeded to Mark's house. We had our sandwiches at Mark's house and then Chi Sun and Nicholas fought a few rounds in a soccer game in the Playstation 2.

Later, Nicholas, Chi Sun and I went to Ang Mo Kio and hung around the place. Nicholas needed his jeans to be altered in one of hte shops in Ang Mo Kio so ya. Soon, after hours, after Chi Sun received numerous phone calls from Yicong (at least I think so), we set out to J8 where we met Yicong and Jasmin. As we made our way to McDonald for dinner, we met up with Zhi Xin and Andrew and someone else. We had our dinner in McDonald and then went home.

Thats basically it. I'll try improving on this post later.

Datalogger training!

ok...on 28 may,which is on a monday,we haf a datalogger training.........it is 3hrs per session and our session is the 1st session which is frm 9am-12 noon.........the venue is physics llab 1 and 2....attire school uniform...and the cost is $10.50 ouch........we nid to bring ouselves and writing materials...well.....we haf to go for this as there is no repeat....and it helps by teaching us how to use the datalogger.................which helps for our SPA(school-based practical assesment) for our GCE o level exams

Music digital enrichment course!

we haf our course dates on 21 may,22 may and 24 may.oooooo........all our venues are at com lab 4.....how convenient=) and all are the sessions b4 recess...so tat means 7.40-10.20.

Vivo City!!!

Yesterday on 19 May we went to Vivo City to watch Spiderman 3! Ya its no longer J8 due to sudden changes. Mark, Chi Sun, Ryan, Jasmin and I were the only ones coming. Spiderman 3 sure is a great movie! Its basically telling us alot about the consequences of Revenge, you should watch it since it not only tells a story filled with action but also spreads the important message. Mark went home afterwards, then we waited for Yicong at the J8 MRT Station to have dinner in S11. Originally Yicong wanted to eat at Food Junction but it was full, so we went to S11. We picked a seat but it was not clean, and we waited for a cleaner to clean it up, but no one came, so we changed seats and purcahsed our dinner. Upon eating, we went home, with everyone going to the bus stop while I walked home. The End.

Visit to Nanyang Poly!

school is gonna send us to ny poly for 2E and 2N(A) pupils on the 25th may...to....er...provide ppils wif insight to tertiary education in the poly and also familiriaze dem wif the dif campuses

at 9.am we arrive at the polytechnic and haf a welcome address
at 9.30am we haf a tea break(fast tea break=)....)
at 10.am we haf a photo hun/tour foreign language workshops
and at 11.30am.....end of visit and bb to nyp

so yea we would leave sch at 8.20am and return to sch by 12 noon

1)People in different countries celebrate Mother's Day on different days of the year because the day has a number of different origins!
hmm... clever mothers shuld travel around the world! So that they can hav more mother's day every year =]

2)Mother's Day is now the most popular day of the year to dine out at a restaurant in the United States
The restaurant uncle must be hoping for mother's day everyday!


Hmm... Tis r some interesting facts about mother's day, however, the reason why we celebrate mother's day r still unsure, theres many different sayings.

elearn day and getting of exam papers

Hello everybody=)......we are most prob gonna get our sci and history exam papers back on monday......so yea gd luck to all=)hope u all haf gd results.....and thursday........we haf our elearning day...so yea we stay at home......and on the com and log in to elearn.litespeed.com.sg at normal sch time....-_-......those hu nvr log in by 7.20 will get a call frm the sch.....and yea we will be given hw frm there.....theres recess in between btw....so yea hahas kk the news report is over.....cya all!!!!!

LLC Lunch Chill Out =) [Mem0rise]

Glad to say that all LLC members (11 of us) attended the lunch feast, of cos wif some uninvited guest n one very very very uninivted dude... After all its just a lunch =). Very happy to say that all the LLC get together n eat for the first time in history. After the lunch , the childish LLC girls go playground play lolz, didnt they noe that ppl above 12 are not allowed to be there? Hahaz, hope that we will be having more activities n high participation from all the LLC members!!! (Huimin! remeber! Chocolate milktea,no fats!)
